peace, propaganda and the promised land

Over the course of the first two days of the course History of the Modern middle east we view a film called peace, propaganda and the promised land. The film was focused on the conflict currently taking place between Israel and the Palestinian people. The film focused primarily on the effects that media has had on the perception that united states citizens have on the conflict. Watching the film really shocked me to see how differently the united states reports on the events taking place and how British new and even Israeli news portrays it. In the new in the states we see a very slanted view in which Israel is not at fault for anything that it going on in the areas that they have under military occupation. Israeli new and British news shows the same events in a very different light. It shows how Israel is very much at fault for many things going on in these occupied areas. My initial reaction to this film was very upsetting because i rely on the media and news for my information and now knowing that allot of what i listen to is untrue it makes it really hard for me to trust anything i do hear again coming from the news and it makes me question everything i though i knew the facts on
